Scored a couple of tickets to Florence + The Machine the other night at the Brixton Academy, to make it better she was supported by Temper Trap. Thought the YYY's where amazing the other week but I think that Florence was better. Had epic view to one person from the front dead centre. Went and saw the YEAH YEAH YEAHS the other night in Brixton, London. Have to say they are definitely the best live show I've ever been too. There so good live, and at such a cool venue. Managed to get a spot almost in the middle one person from the front. Anyway check the photos.

Japan - First few days

I've been in Japn now for about 4 days and so far I olove the ichiban.
To my surprise the waves have been pumping!

The last two days have been a clean 3-4ft and we've been surfing of a breakwall lefts and rights. I'll have to get a pic up soon of all the set ups, its amazing. Every beach has either a breakwall or a kind of waft/wall where the waves break off.

The water was chilli for this time of the year the first two days but today was so warm. Boardies weather.

It was so warm today, I'm currently sitting on a japanese computer in an air contitioned room wishing I wasnt so burnt.

I've got heaps of pics, but I'm just trying to figure out how to use this computer.

Anyway I'll continue to post updates and try get these photos up.

In 3 days I'm heading to Japan.
Really keen to experience the different culture/waves/people.
Gonna be over there till the 24th of August so should be good.
Its Typhoon season there at the moment so hopefully there'll be some waves.

Gonna be good to be surfing in warmer water too cause its getting pretty chilli over here at the moment.

Anyway I won't be lazy like I have been and I'll be posting new stuff all the time when I'm over there.

Today's Events, and its only 8.30am

To start the day off I was up at 6.30 when I drove my brothers house.
We then started the walk around the rocks to hopefully get some waves.
Once we saw it there was still plenty of swell around and some sick waves.

Took a few quick pics before we went out.

After catching about 5 waves I paddled over to the other peak.
Then paddled into one and didn't get a chance to get to my feet.
This is the result.

Back in the water

Well the waves have been pretty much pumping the last three weeks. Unfortunatley for me i spend those 3 weeks sitting at home, getting x-rays and paying my doctor a fair few visits as well as money. To make things worse I had two newies waiting for me at the Haydenshapes factory aswell as all my mates calling me to let me know how good the waves were that I was missing.

But I'm finally back in the water now and the waves have been real good. As for my new boards there going real good too.
Over the next few weeks I'm planning on gettin as much new footage and photos as possible. Got a few comps coming up too so hopefully I can break my curse and make some heats haha.

A Day In Hospital

All week I had felt a little bit of pain on the right side of my chest.
So yesterday I went to the doctors who sent me straight to the hospital.

Turns out I had a collapsed lung, had to spend 8 hrs in the hospital and had a operation where they put a 15cm straw through my chest and sucked out the air around my lung that shouldn't be there. Kinda hurt when they pulled that out.

They managed to get most of the air out but if the rest of the air doesn't go soon looks like I'll be back in that hospital bed for a few days with more straws in my chest.

Hopefully this isn't the case.
Check the pics, I'm pretty drugged at the time.

Had a few days of work and there was a little bit of swell around so I decided to head up the coast.
Unfortunately I forgot my camera, but fortunately I didn't forget the video camera.
